4th Grade Field Trip Information
4th grade field trip Friday May 17,
2019
Indian
Echo Caverns, Hummelstown
·
Students and chaperones will be boarding the busses as
soon as announcements are over. Students
do NOT need to come to school earlier than usual. Students will also be back in time to go home
at the end of the day for regular dismissal.
·
Lunches need to be packed in throw away materials. The busses will not be nearby, so after
lunch, we need to be able to throw everything away. School lunches will be in brown paper bags
marked with the child’s name.
·
Backpacks are discouraged on the trip for the safety and
ease of walking on the Cavern tour.
Teachers and staff may carry them on the tour. All others may put their backpacks in the
pavilion area. It is a safe environment
area, and the Caverns personnel say they haven’t had a problem with this.
·
A good walking sneaker is recommended.
·
It is always 52 degrees in the Cavern, so
layering clothing is recommended.
·
There is a gift shop available if anyone is
interested. Space is limited in the gift
shop, but this is not the priority of the trip.
·
Chaperones: If you
have been approved by PTO and have told the homeroom teacher you are interested
in going on our field trip, please sign off and return to your child’s homeroom
teacher by Monday April 8th . The cost of the trip is $20
(bus/cavens). Include your child’s name
on the envelope and please make check payable to NSE PTO. Payment is due by Monday May 6th.
