Week 26: February 25 - March 1
This week in science we will be learning about producers, consumers, and decomposers. While learning how these three things work in an ecosystem, we will discuss herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores. We will be writing our vocabulary definitions, reading in our book on pages 148 - 153, and completing 2 worksheets to review Chapter 4, Lesson 2.

Week 25: February 18 - February 22
We will be continuing to learn about ecosystems in science class. In class we will discuss what an ecosystem is, the types of ecosystems, and the living and non-living things that interact within the specific ecosystems. We will be doing an interactive notebook activity that will help us review the parts of the biosphere (organism, population, community, ecosystem, and biosphere).
**Scholastic Book orders will be sent home in Friday folders. Orders are due on Friday, March 22, 2019.

Week 24: February 11 - February 15
This week we will be starting Chapter 4: Ecosystems. We will be learning about what an ecosystem is, the different types of ecosystems, their climate, where they are located, and the types of animals that live in them.

Week 23: February 4 - February 8
This week in Science we will be finishing Chapter 3. We will be reading and discussing lessons 5 and 6, learning about inherited traits/characteristics and learned behaviors, and completing a Monster Lab. The Monster Lab will allow students to use their imagination to create a parent and offspring monster that share similar traits.

Boosterthon Day 4
North Schuylkill Families!
Thanks so much for all your support so far! As a school we have raised $7,600 towards out $15,000 goal! We are halfway there!
Today your students learned about Growth Mindset. Having a growth mindset is about believing that with hard work and practice you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
Tonight we have a couple challenges. Right now 30% of the school has pledged on funrun.com, if we can make it to 50% by tomorrow the Boosterthon Team will be duct taped to the flagpole outside!
The top class in new pledges tonight will get a Glow Stick Dance Party with the Boosterthon Team!

Boosterthon Day 3

Today your students learned about Zest and helped the STEAM team . Zest is having passion and enthusiasm with everything you do in life!
Tonight we have two special challenges. For K-4th grade that top class in new pledges tonight will get to go on a Secret Mission with the Boosterthon Team. For 5th and 6th grade there will be a raffle and 4 students (2 from each grade) will be chosen to Silly String the Boosterthon Team!
